2026 Women's NHC Team Named

Otago Hockey is excited to announce our Women’s Team for the 2026 National Hockey Championship in Wellington.
The squad is headlined by capped Black Stick Nina Murphy, while Ruby Pedersen returns following injury and will add further quality and experience through the midfield.
Experienced goalkeeper Rachael Lecky will be key, and is joined by Caitlin Tier who has had a strong first season in the south with the City Highlanders
There is plenty of exciting local talent throughout the group, with players representing City Highlanders, Kings United, Momona and University, alongside local product Georgia Roy who is currently playing for HSOB in Canterbury.
Several members of the squad were also part of the silver medal-winning U21 Women’s side at the 2026 Educare Matariki Invitational, showcasing the depth of talent coming through Otago Hockey.
The squad will be led by Head Coach Hymie Gill, assisted by Matthew Rooney, as the team looks to build on the strong foundations from previous years.
