Otago Announces 2025 Extended NHC Squads

Otago Hockey is pleased to announce their extended NHC Squads for the 2025 campaign.

The 21 player Women’s squad features 19 players playing locally in the Adidas Hockey Premier Women’s competition, which speaks to the level of the competition this season. 

The 25 player Men’s squad features the return of a few local heroes no longer based in Dunedin, including incumbent Black Sticks Malachi Buschl, Benji Culhane and Finn Ward, as well as several players involved in the New Zealand A and U21 Pathways.

Both squads will be decreased to 18 for the 2025 National Hockey Championship taking place in Christchurch. Congratulations to the players selected, the squads are as follows:
