U13 Booster Program 2023
14/6/2023Building on from the successful 2022 programme OHA is excited to run our U13 Booster Programme in 2023.
This opportunity is open to anyone and everyone within the respective age groups who are keen to develop their skills through the remainder of the hockey season. All hockey players in Years 7&8 are also eligible for the U13 age group Festival.
This year we have opened up a Year 5&6 age group, this group will train on a Sunday morning for 9 weeks, but not participate in the festival.
This years festival will be held in Invercargill on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of September. Please indicate below if you are keen for your child to be included in a team for the Festival.
U13 Overview
Booster Programme for all Year 5-8 players, 16th July - 10th September. This will be the core of the development programme held on Sunday mornings at McMillan Turf from 9-10am. Players will be upskilled by our OHA Coaches and transition into team-based play later in the programme.
U13 Festival of Hockey for all Year 7-8 players, 16th - 17th September. The Invercargill Hockey Association is hosting a weekend Festival which involves all of the other Associations in the Southern region (North Otago, Central Otago, Eastern Southland, and Invercargill). A chance to play some awesome hockey with a lot of other fun activities too!
Registration for the U13 Booster Programme includes all of the trainings, as well as a T-shirt. The cost for the programme will be $125 per player. (This does not include the extra Festival costs)
Extra Festival Costs for Year 7-8 players:- It is the individual responsibility of families to organise and pay for accommodation, travel, food and associated costs for the U13 Festival. There will be a small individual entry cost for entry fee, turf and gear hire, team costs etc.
